Former Tamil Nadu BJP President K. Annamalai has publicly revealed, for the first time, the details of a conversation he had with Union Home Minister Amit Shah when he stepped down from his BJP post. Annamalai stated that Shah whispered in his ear, offering him a national-level role within the party and asking him to stay in Delhi for three years.

Annamalai revealed what Amit Shah whispered in his ear.

There was widespread speculation that during his final meeting with Union Home Minister Amit Shah before leaving the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Shah had whispered to him, plotting a secret political scheme for Tamil Nadu. On Monday, K. Annamalai released a video revealing exactly what Shah had whispered in his ear.

Critics had claimed in June that the BJP sent Annamalai to the state to strengthen the party’s presence there, and that his newly formed political platform, “We Are Leaders,” was effectively the BJP’s “B-team.” On Sunday (August 16), Annamalai revealed the actual message Shah had conveyed to him during that private conversation.

Speaking at an environmental awareness rally in Chennai organized by his political foundation, “We Are Leaders,” Annamalai stated that Amit Shah had actually offered him a “national-level position in Delhi.”

“Everyone claimed that Amit Shah sent Annamalai to Tamil Nadu to subtly rebuild the BJP, and that Annamalai’s new political movement, ‘We Are Leaders,’ was the BJP’s B-team. These are complete lies spread by critics,” Annamalai said while addressing the crowd in Chennai on Sunday.
