Google has introduced a new “immersive exploration” feature in the Gemini app. As the name suggests, this feature—designed specifically for students—offers an interactive, visual way to learn about a variety of subjects, including history, engineering, and space. Through interactive scenarios, users can explore topics ranging from microscopic systems to the depths of outer space. The feature is currently available in several languages, including English, Indonesian, and Hindi.

New Immersive Exploration Feature in Gemini
In a blog post on Wednesday, Google announced the launch of an immersive exploration feature for the Gemini app. The company stated that this new feature provides an interactive, visual method for users to explore topics layer by layer—covering everything from microscopic systems to deep space. It is expected to be a valuable tool for students studying complex subjects.

Users can access the library by clicking “Try Immersive Exploration” in the Gemini Student Center. Google has stated that, before long, users will also be able to experience this content directly within their Gemini chat conversations.

These interactive scenes cover a wide range of topics. According to Google, this new feature will allow users to trace the trade routes of the Silk Road, explore the internal structure of a jet engine, and study the physics of lightning. Users can click on labels within the scenes to access varying levels of detail. Google has confirmed that the “Immersive Exploration” feature will soon include voice-over narration to provide guidance to users.

The Immersive Exploration feature currently supports English, Indonesian, Hindi, Brazilian Portuguese, French, and Simplified Chinese. Users who speak other languages will, for the time being, only be able to access the English version. Support for additional languages is expected to be added later.

This announcement follows shortly after Google’s release of its new artificial intelligence model, Gemini 4 Carbon. Initially, the model is available only to a select group of cybersecurity experts. Gemini 4 Carbon is priced at $2 (approximately 191 rupees) per million input tokens and $10 (approximately 953 rupees) per million output tokens.
